ASE Preliminary Application Instructions
The Preliminary Application deadline for Klamath Falls students has been extended to March 16th.
The main deadline was on January 20th.
Please read the following before completing the application form.
• Submitting the Preliminary Application is the FIRST step of TWO steps required to complete the ASE Application process. To know about the following two steps, please refer to the 'How To Apply' page.
• You must submit your application on-line. DO NOT wait until the last minute to complete the application. If you experience technical difficulties and cannot fill the application out online, please contact us IMMEDIATELY by phone (503-200-5861) AND by email (ase[AT]saturdayacademy.org).
• You must complete the preliminary application in one session.
• Prepare ahead of time: Collect all necessary information before beginning to enter it (such as parent phone numbers and income status).
• Write your short answers to the 3 narrative questions ahead of time using Word or another program, carefully proof them, then copy and paste them into this form. The narrative questions are listed on the form, just click on the link below and find the questions on the form.
• There are word limits to the short answer questions (300 words).
• Your application will be sent to mentors EXACTLY as you fill it out, so be sure to present your information professionally. Proper grammar, spelling and formatting will count in your favor on this application. Accuracy is the responsibility of the applicant! ASE staff members do not read through all application materials, nor do they use this information to pre-screen applicants.
• Use one email address throughout the application process. Please list YOUR e-mail address and not that of a parent. We will provide the address that you submit on the form to mentors in order to contact you for potential interviews – make sure your address is professional.
• You will be sent confirmation e-mails for the various portions of your application. If you don’t receive a confirmation e-mail, then your materials weren’t received. Please save the confirmation e-mails in case of lost materials. It is your only record that you applied for the program. The first confirmation e-mail will include your ASE ID number. You will also need your ASE ID number for the other portions of the application so please write it down or save the e-mail where it is listed.
