College Preparation
Saturday Academy offers both SAT and PSAT Preparation, SAT Writing Preparation, SAT Math Preparation, and a class that helps students write their college application essay. SAT Preparation Classes
The SAT Preparation Class is designed to prepare you for the entire SAT test - math, critical reading & writing.SAT Preparation classes are offered at several different times
throughout the year. We offer classes in March/April, July/August and
September/October. Classes are for grades 11 - 12 and tuition is $295 (includes books). Tuition assistance is available for qualified applicants.
- Course 8779: Five meetings, M, W, & F (begins on a W), July 9 - 18; 10 AM - 1 PM at PSU
- Coures 8780: Five meetings, M, W & TH, July 28 - August 6; 5:30 - 8:30 PM at PSU
- Course 8781: Five Sundays, Sept. 21 - Oct. 26 (no class Oct. 19); 10 AM - 1 PM at PSU
- Course 8782: Five Sundays, Sept. 21 - Oct. 26 (no class Oct. 19); 2 - 5 PM at PSU
- Course 8783: Six Thursdays, Sept. 25 - Oct. 30; 6 - 8:30 PM at PSU
SAT: Writing & Essay PreparationGet ready for the writing section of the SAT exam.
Math Help for the SATThis class concentrates on exploring the math concepts that are the basis for the problems on the SAT test. It has a deper focus than our SAT Preparation class and is helpful for those who believe that they need additional preparation or more intensive work on the math principles covered on the exam.
Maximum Math for the SATIf you are shooting for a math SAT score of 700 or more, join this class geared to students who want to practice the more difficult problems found ont he SATs to optimize their chances of a high score.
Study Smart: Speed Reading
Increase both your reading speed and comprehension of the material you're reading. On the SAT, speed matters. If you can read and comprehend the questions quicker, you have a better chance of completing all the questions.
