What is the Saturday Academy Classes & Workshops program?

The Saturday Academy Classes & Workshops program offers classes for 4th - 12th grade students. Saturday Academy's unique classes are taught by professionals, are small in size (usually around 10 students), and are mostly hands-on.

When are Saturday Academy classes offered?

Even though our name has Saturday in it, our classes are not only offered on Saturdays. During the school year, most classes are held on the weekends (both Saturdays & Sunday), but some are held on weeknights. During the summer months our classes are mostly camp style - Monday - Friday, with a few classes being held on the weekends.

Where are Saturday Academy classes located?

Our classes are located throughout the Portland Metro Area. While the majority of our classes are held at Portland State University during the school year due to it being a central location, we have classes at many different convenient locations. How many times a year is your catalogue published?

We publish four catalogues a year—Winter, Spring, Fall and Summer.

• Winter - published in November (classes begin in January, with the majority starting in February)
• Spring - published in late January, early February (classes begin in March, with the majority starting in April)
• Summer - published in early March (classes begin in June and continue through August)
• Fall - published in August (classes begin in September and continue through December)
  How can I get a catalogue?

Our entire catalogue is published online. You can print a PDF version of the printed catalogue, or use the lists that are published to search for a class based upon grade level, subject or location. If you would like our printed catalogue mailed to you, or would like to be added to our mailing list please e-mail your name and mailing address. State in the subject line either, add to mailing list or please send catalogue, and make sure to include your mailing address!

Do you offer scholarships?
