SA provides adventures for the curious! Classes & Camps for students in grades 2- 12 are for anyone who wants to explore new topics and likes to learn by doing. Saturday Academy classes are small, informal and project-oriented.
Students can explore a multitude of topics from science, engineering and technology to humanities and the arts. There are no tests or grades, and only occasionally are there prerequisites.
Locations are throughout the Portland Metro area and classes are taught by professionals from many different fields. Our instructors bring expertise in the subjects they’ve chosen to teach and excitement for helping students discover new ideas.

We offer classes year-round for students in grades 2-12. Classes are on topics such as science, engineering, computer programming, art, writing, and more. During the school year classes are held after school, in the evening, on weekends, and during school breaks. You can follow your curiosity in classes such as: Lego Physics, Nuclear Science Laboratory, Writing with Imagination, Oncofertility, and much more.

During the summer months we offer exciting academic camps to keep kids interested and learning during their down time from school. Students can experience the San Juan Islands in Marine Campout, explore medical careers in Club Med, and discover the complex world of engineering in Engineering Camp. We typically offer around 20 day camps per summer.
Saturday Academy is in your neighborhood. During the school year we hold classes all throughout the Portland Metro area, at locations such as Portland State University, OHSU, University of Portland, OHSU West Campus, in addition to others. In the summer months, along with these locations we offer week-long programs at satellite locations at local area schools such as Sunset High School, Valley Catholic High School, Glencoe High School, and more.
