Comic storytelling combines both writing and drawing to tell tales that span every conceivable genre. Create your very own comic that tells a unique, interesting and personal story. Employ the techniques of professional cartoonists to tell your story, from conception to final product. You will learn to design pages that engage readers using both words and art.
Students will need access to a computer, webcam, and internet. They will meet electronically using an online platform called Moodle. Login instructions will be sent to the email address associated with the account in advance of the class start date. Required supplies: paper, pencils, pens (preferably drawing pens like Micron or Copic, but Bic pens will also work.)
Optional supplies: light box for tracing, a nib pen, black ink, brushes, sharpies, ruler, a triangle, color markers, mechanical pencil, and Aames Letter Guide.
