The intern will work in the Intel Systems and Networking Lab at Portland State University. Video sensors are being widely deployed for transportation, smart cities, and security applications. In this internship, the student will work on one of several projects including:
(i) implementing and testing various computer vision algorithms for pedestrian, bicycle, and car detection
(ii) implementing and testing algorithms to provide privacy-ensuring video collection, or
(iii) implementing and testing various object classification algorithms for cars.
The intern will learn about UNIX shell programming, implementing image processing algorithms, and executing experiments via shell scripts.
The student will work alongside another ASE intern, a graduate student mentor, and the faculty mentor. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
