Bonneville Power Administration is a non-profit government agency that provides the Northwest with low cost and largely renewable electricity. In System Protection, our job is to protect the transmission lines that provide the electricity paths to your homes and many industries. In this internship, a student will be given at least one major project and several smaller ones. The selected student will assist in creating technical documents, performing data analysis, doing some wiring and overall gaining hands-on experience with equipment. This internship will also have several substation and/or hydroelectric dam tours. If you are a student interested in exploring electrical engineering as a career, especially in the power industry, this internship would be exceptional for you. More information on the Bonneville Power Administration can be found at www.bpa.gov.
