Explore mobile solutions in this hands-on introduction to the architectural design process. As resources become limited we need new solutions. We will focus on designing mobile solutions that answer problems caused by space, location, economics, time, or energy. What is the function of our structure? Is it permanent or temporary? How will it move? Will we push it, drive it, or pull it with a bike? We’ll look at examples of “moveable architecture” including bicycle cart businesses, temporary housing, and anything that can be transported via human, solar, or electric power. Then we’ll design and construct our own models.
