Capture-the-Flag (CTF) games have been used for decades as a fun way to train security practitioners. Such games allow students as early as high-school to begin learning and developing skills that are essential in the field of computer and network security. To facilitate the spread of CTF clubs and teams in the surrounding area, this internship offers training to students looking to bring CTFs, as an activity, back to their schools. Interns will learn the basics in computer and network security with a focus on reverse-engineering binary code and leveraging common web vulnerabilities. By mastering these concepts and skills by applying them to solve scaffolded CTF levels, students will then be able to lead their schools in high-school CTF competitions such as https://picoctf.com/ or http://www.hsctf.com/. Prior experience in programming and CTFs recommended. For more information, please see: https://trailofbits.github.io/ctf/. Female and minority students are strongly encouraged to apply.
