The Bonneville Power Administration is a nonprofit federal power marketing administration based in the Pacific Northwest. This internship will assist the Facilities Planning and Projects team (NWM) at BPA to assess, plan and manage Facilities and Interior Space Planning projects and associated efforts. The intern will become familiar with how BPA provides effective and efficient facilities and work environments to enable BPA business. He/she will also gain experience with Program Manager, Project Manager, Architect, Mechanical/Electrical Engineer, Interior Designer, and Business Analyst team members, providing exposure to a cross-section of skills and expectations in each of these career areas. Our goal is to provide the intern with actual project work experience and an opportunity to contribute to meaningful short duration projects. The intern will experience operations in the field from touring supporting facilities such as visiting a BPA substation, converter stations and the dispatch control center, etc.. Each intern receives support through individual mentorship and shadowing professionals in a variety of positions at BPA. We also strive to provide an excellent real work experience with a fun learning environment at BPA that will benefit future educational and career choices.
Intern must have a state-issued, photo-ID such as a passport, driver's license, or state (not school) identification card for the background check process.Students must be minimum age specified by May 15.
