Bonneville Power Administration

Facilities & Interior Space Planning Summer Student Trainee

Facilities & Interior Space Planning Summer Student Trainee
Learn how facilities and interior spaces at BPA are created, designed, managed and implemented.

The Bonneville Power Administration is a nonprofit federal power marketing administration based in the Pacific Northwest. This internship will assist the Facilities Planning and Projects team (NWM) at BPA to assess, plan and manage Facilities and Interior Space Planning projects and associated efforts. The intern will become familiar with how BPA provides effective and efficient facilities and work environments to enable BPA business. He/she will also gain experience with Program Manager, Project Manager, Architect, Mechanical/Electrical Engineer, Interior Designer, and Business Analyst team members, providing exposure to a cross-section of skills and expectations in each of these career areas. Our goal is to provide the intern with actual project work experience and an opportunity to contribute to meaningful short duration projects. The intern will experience operations in the field from touring supporting facilities such as visiting a BPA substation, converter stations and the dispatch control center, etc..  Each intern receives support through individual mentorship and shadowing professionals in a variety of positions at BPA.
