Examine the twelve principles of Green chemistry, the laws and regulations that brought about Green chemistry practices and how these practices are being implemented in the industry as well as STEM classrooms. Green chemistry is defined as the “design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use or generation of hazardous substances.” Through hands on experiments and analysis relevant to current Green chemistry practices, explore basic chemistry education topics including stoichiometry, phases of matter, phase transitions, solvent properties, and extraction principles.
