Learn the fundamentals of photography. Begin with the basics of camera set up and operation. Explore composition, exposure, and what makes a photograph interesting. In between classes, students will explore with their camera, creating photos that interest them and begin discovering their artistic vision.
Before each class, students will upload their photos and choose their favorite images to share. As a group, we will learn and practice how to give and receive feedback on each other's photos. We will also look at other photographers for inspiration.
NOTE: Shooting for this class will be done in breakout sessions outside of class time. Any camera can be used, including a phone camera.
Required supplies: Pencils & a notebook for notes, a webcam, a camera (of any kind including smart phone camera), the ability to upload these photos to the computer, a designated folder on the desktop
