Eric Sliter enjoys sharing his love of the natural world and sciences with others. He graduated with a bachelor degree in Bioengineering in 2015 from the University of Louisville in his hometown in landlocked Kentucky. After graduating he has continued learning and pursued a career of sustainability advocacy, thinking of solutions to solve climate crises, and inspiring others to learn STEM to see all the doors that it can unlock.
With a love for biodiversity and the variety of fields that sustainability encompasses, his career has allowed him to travel across the country for renewable energy, medical research, math education, and ocean sciences. Eric has 4 years of experience as a lively instructor in Marine Biology, Mathematics from K-12, and Outdoor Education. His favorite thing to do in his free time is to hike, with snorkeling as a close second.
He began teaching for Saturday Academy in 2021. He teaches in-person only, and can travel across East, North, Northeast, Southeast & Southwest Portland as well as to Vancouver, WA.
