Careers in Inclusive Services! Days Off @ Columbia Regional Inclusive Services

Calling all creatives, community builders, and future educators!

Explore a world of Inclusive Services that far too often get overlooked! Columbia Regional Inclusive Services (CRIS) provides support for a wide variety of students and educators in Oregon, including Blind and Low Vision students, students with motor impairments, Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, and students on the Autism Spectrum.

Students will meet with professionals from many different fields within the world of Inclusive Services, and participate in fun, hands-on workshops and activities. Adapt a toy to be switch-activated with the Orthopedic Impairment team, get a free hearing screening from an Audiologist, and participate in navigation activities simulating low vision with Blind/Low Vision specialists. BONUS: learn the basics of Sign Language!

This Days Off event is perfect for any student curious about education, equity, disability advocacy, assistive technology, working with their hands, and supporting their community.

Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
Address: Columbia Regional Inclusive Services, 833 NE 74th Ave, Portland, OR 97213
