Announcing ASE 2023 Symposium Keynote Speaker

Aug 8, 2023

We’re thrilled to announce the Keynote Speaker for the 2023 ASE Symposium, White House Reporter for The Washington Post, Yasmeen Abutaleb!

As White House reporter for The Washington Post, she has covered President Biden's response to the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and the Democratic criticism that ensued; a range of stories on Biden's foreign policy; and the 2022 midterm elections as well as the run-up to Biden's decision to seek re-election in 2024. She has also covered both the Trump and Biden administration responses to covid-19 and was the co-author of the New York Times No. 1 bestseller, "Nightmare Scenario: Inside the Trump Administration's Response to the Pandemic that Changed History."

Yasmeen graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2014 with a dual degree in microbiology and journalism, where she served as the editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Diamondback.

Thank you Yasmeen for being a part of our 2023 ASE Symposium; it will be an unforgettable experience for all of our ASE interns as they wrap up their summer with us!
