What do apps, video games, and robots have in common? Explore how technology can help people in a week of hands-on coding. Program an app, create a video game, and build a robot as you rotate through classes. Explore and practice coding skills using drag-and-drop programming tools and learn foundational programming concepts as you create simple apps such as games and quizzes. Using GameMaker Studio, create an interactive game in which you control characters, objects and outcomes--adding extra features and difficulty levels as you build your skills. In your robotics class, construct a robotic animal--perhaps a pet or helper animal--using the LEGO® Mindstorm system and program it to have fun or do tasks. Make use of sensors--light, rotation, and touch--to make your creature interactive. Will your projects help people, inspire cooperation, and educate others? Or will you focus on fun and frivolous creations? You'll be inspired by each day's opening activity, where you'll build connections with other campers through community-building, crafty fun, and more.
