Ryan Branstetter Rachael Pecore-Valdez
Ryan earned a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from O.S.U. He has worked for the Nez Perce and Umatilla Tribes researching wolves and riparian habitat restoration, and his current research focus is working with the steelhead kelt reconditioning program for the Columbia River Intertribal Fish Commission and it's member Tribes. He is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and was born and raised in the Pendleton, OR area where he cultivated a love for the natural world and outdoor pursuits.
Rachael Pecore-Valdez spent 4 years as Columbia Riverkeeper's Water Quality Director, training volunteers to test water quality in the Columbia Basin and responding to water quality concerns. She has a B.S. in BioResource Research, B.A. in International Studies and M.S. in Holistic Science where she focused on water science and education. She also founded and led the Wolf OR-7 Expedition in 2014, retracing the dispersal route of a radio-collared wolf from NE Oregon into California for a documentary film.
