Riley Whittier-Ferguson (she/her) is a lifelong learner and educator. As a kid growing up in Seattle, she had a love of hands-on learning – singing in choirs, welding, scoring baseball games, exploring tide pools, and more. After graduating high school from Seattle Academy, Riley traveled across the country to earn a BA in Anthropology from Boston University. She then moved back to the PNW to pursue a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is a certified Montessori teacher, and worked as a guide for many years, supporting children in becoming curious thinkers and independent learners. Her passion for equitable and effective support systems led Riley toward work in the administrative side of education and human resources. Riley is also an artist and works mostly in ceramics, watercolor, and charcoal. She lives in SE Portland with her husband, Henry, two cats, Maisy and Mayo, and corgi, Squid.
