Madeleine Foley, while raised in Tucson, Arizona, Madeleine fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and has lived in Corvallis, Newport, and more presently, Portland OR. She is a marine scientist, substitute teacher, and independent artist, depending on the day. With a Bachelors in Fisheries and Wildlife from Oregon State University, a Master's in Marine Science from Stony Brook University and a lifetime pursuit of creative expression through art, Madeleine brings a passion for the intersection of art and science, and seeks to foster a love of science and art in others, in her personal life and career.
When not skating with her roller derby team, tidepooling, or spending some quiet time with her cats, Madeleine can be found illustrating, painting, and creating felt sculptures, and is always on the lookout for a new medium to try out.
