Hannah (Fan) Gao (she/her/hers) is an educator and scientist who loves helping young people explore how the world works. Originally from China and having lived in Japan and the United States, she brings a global perspective and a passion for hands-on learning to everything she does. Hannah earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida, where she not only conducted research but also taught and mentored students. She enjoys turning big, complex science ideas into fun, easy-to-understand activities that spark curiosity and confidence. She believes the best way to learn STEM is by doing, asking questions, trying things out, and not being afraid to make mistakes.
Hannah is excited to support programs that help students discover their interests and see themselves as future scientists, engineers, and creators. Outside of work, Hannah loves baking and cooking just as much as doing experiments in the lab. She is also a big dog lover and has a 4-year-old goldendoodle named Willy. She enjoys traveling with Willy and taking him to meet both furry friends and human friends.
