After being in a classroom all year, summer should be about making friends, having fun, and discovering new things.
And with summer fast approaching, we've put together a list of fan favorite camps that are filling up. If one of these is calling your camper's name, now's the time to grab a spot! And if you don't see the right fit here, we have even more camps available at the link below. PLUS we have robust cost assistance available, helping make camps accessible for all.
Before we dive in, here’s some quick info about our summer camps:
- Each camp is full-day, full-week.
- Camps are organized by grade bands: Explorers (rising grades K-2), Makers (rising grades 3-5) and Creators (rising grades 6-8).
- We have 3 locations for camps this year.
- June–July: Central Catholic High School, 2401 SE Stark St, Portland, OR
- August: Trinity Academy, 7424 N Mississippi Ave, Portland, OR
- August 17-21 - Grades 6-8: PSU Engineering Building, 1930 SW 4th Ave Portland OR 97201
- Small camp sizes with an educator-to-student ration of 1:5 or 1:6.

- Each day presents new science and engineering mysteries to explore. Using scientific and engineering processes, discover how the world works around you!
- Story Explorers July 20-24 — 7 Spots Left
- Stories are the ultimate guide, where fantasy comes to life and obstacles are overcome! Explore story structure, character, conflict, and design worlds through story.
- LEGO Space Explorers August 3-7 — 8 Spots Left
- Blast off on an out-of-this-world LEGO adventure! Explorers will travel to distant planets, build rockets, design space stations, and meet friendly aliens along the way.
Makers | Grades 3-5
- Engineering Makers June 22-26 — 2 Spots Left
- Makers embrace the engineering mindset! Expand your mind and explore gravity, force, predictability, motion, and more.
- Gaming Makers June 29 - July 2 — 5 Spots Left
- In this unique, four day experience, makers can join for one day or the whole week! From game theory and strategy, to characters and world building, each day makers will focus on tabletop, card, or outdoor games.
- Robotics Makers July 6 - 10 — 2 Spots Left
- Campers use LEGOs to examine and apply the fundamentals of physics, then unpack how physics are applied to robotics!
- Science Makers July 20 - 24 — 1 Spots Left
- In this scientific sampler, Makers exercise their curiosity! Each day features new questions. Design and conduct experiments, observe critically, and synthesize your findings to communicate your discoveries.
- Bookworm Makers July 27 - 31— 9 Spots Left
- This is the camp for those who love all things story! From creative writing to book binding, illustration to free-reading, look at this week as the ultimate library.
