Catie (she/her) is a Portland-based educator and a recent college graduate with a BA in Spanish Language from Willamette University. Born and raised in Oregon, she will be working in the Link.ed Residency and Creators Summer Programs at Saturday Academy.
She has been working with children for many years in various capacities, including through coaching youth sports and in after-school tutoring programs. Catie mixes her knowledge of STEM, programming, language arts and regular arts to build a well-rounded approach to teaching. She loves the PNW and the wider Portland community and is enthusiastic about fostering a love for learning in her students.
In her free time, she loves playing and watching all manner of sports, drawing, and trying (largely unsuccessfully) to teach herself new languages.
