
Lauren Rapadas is an energetic and creative public school educator! She holds a BA in psychology and elementary education from the University of Portland and a Master of Education from Portland State University. She has over a decade of experience teaching in public and private schools around the Portland area, and is currently a substitute teacher; supporting elementary schools across the East County.
She has spent much of her career in early learning institutions using S.T.E.A.M. education to prepare students for kindergarten and beyond. Lauren has brought this experience into her work as a kindergarten teacher where she integrates both arts and sciences into each of her lessons. Lauren is passionate about teaching and leading students to discover the world through the power of S.T.E.A.M. and a well rounded education for all!
Lauren was born and raised in Guam, and moved to Portland in 2010. She loves the community and all the city has to offer! Lauren lives in South East Portland, and enjoys her free time with her friends, traveling, cooking, and spending sunny days at the river.
