Learn about the origins of Capgras’ delusion, and the bizarre tale of Phineas Gage and his railroad-spiked head. Learn how to make your own mirror box (outside of class) to replicate a phantom limb, and discuss the neurological origins of why some things are scary at night but not during the day. Why does your brain imagine an eyeball when touching a peeled grape in a box? What neurological illnesses cause “zombie-like” behavior?
