Instructor Highlight: Fadi Labib

Access and use of the internet are now more important than ever. With limited in-person access to businesses, being able to effectively communicate through a web page can be a lifeline. Instructor Fadi Labib, is offering a new class for high school students called Web Design Using Bootstrap and Javascript. I interviewed Fadi on his new class, what he has in store for his students, and what he’s most excited to share.

Congratulations Lumencor!

Congratulations to our longtime ASE partner Lumencor, Inc which has been named an Honoree in the 2020 Makers and Manufacturing Awards Program by the Portland Business Journal. In a virtual roundtable, Claudia B. Jaffe, Ph.D., Co-founder and Executive Vice President talks about how to continue innovation throughout the COVID19 pandemic and maintain staff morale, among other topics. She even mentions how the quality of ASE interns contributes to Lumencor, Inc's success and community building in Portland.

Sneak Peek at Upcoming Fall Classes

This year, learning looks different. For most, due to COVID-19, learning now takes place entirely at home. Like many schools in Oregon and across the country, Saturday Academy has pivoted completely to online classes. Our classes team has worked hard to schedule our classes around the various school days across the Portland-metro area. We hope to be able to ease educational gaps students may experience this school year. If class timing is a barrier, please let us know!
