Thank you for all of your hard and inspiring work at Saturday Academy. As a fellow instructor, I know the challenges of teaching and the joys of impacting youth by sharing my talents, skills and expertise. My name is Joe Fraioli and I am an Encore Fellow finishing out my career in electrical engineering by writing curriculum and instructing for Saturday Academy. Let me tell you, our efforts do not go unnoticed.
Because of us, Saturday Academy has taught over 5,000 2nd-12th grade students this year. We have paved the way for kids to explore their passions and gain new skills. The expertise we bring to the program truly allows Saturday Academy to offer exceptional classes and camps.
This past year was my first go at teaching kids and it has been such a rewarding experience. There have definitely been learning curves: I used to teach young sailors aboard a submarine and if you had told me back then that I’d one day be in a classroom teaching kids, I’d never have believed it in my wildest dreams. My work with Saturday Academy has brought new challenges and growth. All my efforts are paid off when I hear from students or their parents that they learned a lot or discovered a new passion.
“Please thank Mr. Joe for us. Fiona loved his class and was so proud of her electromagnet nail. She was thrilled to bring it home and explain it to me and her grandpa. My dad is a retired electrical engineer, and he very kindly let her explain how electromagnets work.”

My Saturday Academy coworkers share with me every day how we are impacting the lives of students like Fiona by sharing our expertise and knowledge. It is my honor to help acknowledge the time and efforts you have spent in guiding the next generation. Thank you.
I want more children to experience the type of learning we facilitate in our classrooms, so I am a monthly donor to support Saturday Academy’s efforts. I am asking for your help to further broaden our reach and serve more students. Please join me and make a first-time gift to Saturday Academy.
You are an integral partner in supporting and educating future scientists, engineers, and artists in our community. Thank you for your continued efforts.
