Biamp Systems, LLC

Audio Electronics Internship

Audio Electronics Internship
Learn to use and test audio equipment across different audio systems.

Biamp creates professional audiovisual solutions that enable effective, natural communication - empowering human connection in every space. The selected intern will test audio performance, helping the engineering team compare different audio systems and components for future use.

To do this, the intern will set up audio systems, perform objective testing of audio performance using audio testing software, and log the results. Once results have been captured, they will help analyze and visualize the results for the engineering team, and may run additional tests as needed. For examples of the types of other projects that interns can work on, check out the ASE Symposium presentations from Biamp's 2023 and 2024 ASE Interns.

The mentors aim to be flexible to ensure that the intern is able to learn and thrive while working on projects that are interesting to the intern and aligned with the needs of the team. This is a part-time internship, with the expectation that the intern will work at least 200 hours over the course of the summer.

Students must be minimum age specified by June 16. These age requirements are strictly enforced by the mentoring organization, and there are no exceptions.

We strongly encourage students to apply who are from one or more systemically and historically excluded group, including but not limited to, non-cis-gendered students, girls, BIPOC, first-generation college bound students, low-income/low-resourced students, students with disabilities, who are neurodivergent, and those who speak a primary language other than English.

This internship will be taking place in-person as permitted by Federal/State/Local/Biamp guidelines. To reduce the risks of coronavirus exposure, mentors and interns will act in accordance with applicable COVID guidelines and procedures. Selected applicants will be required to review and sign a waiver agreement.

If you have any questions about the application, website technical issues and/or this position description, please contact Saturday Academy at ase@saturdayacademy.org. Do not contact the mentor directly. Contacting the mentor directly is grounds for disqualification of your ASE application.
