Kaylee Garcia is a public school educator bringing more than a decade of teaching experience to Saturday Academy Summer Programs. She holds a BS from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education in S.T.E.M. curriculum and instruction from LSU Shreveport. Kaylee is currently the S.T.E.A.M Electives teacher and IT Lead at George Middle School, just a stone's throw from Saturday Academy!
She was born and raised in Houston, Texas but has called Portland home since 2022.Kaylee is a longtime lover of the arts in both her personal and professional life. Much of her teaching career has been at schools with robust art programs.
Kaylee is passionate about S.T.E.A.M education for all, and dedicated to fostering curiosity in learning spaces. She spends her free time with friends and family, at the Oregon coast, traveling, and playing futsal. She lives in North Portland with her husband, dog, and cat.
